Day 1: Embark on an exhilarating journey southward along the legendary «Avenue of the Volcanoes,» venturing into the heart of Cotopaxi province to explore one of the region’s ancient and vibrant Indian markets. Choose from the renowned markets of Latacunga (open on Tuesday and Saturday only), Pujilí (open on Wednesday and Sunday only), or Saquisilí (open on Thursday only), each offering a kaleidoscope of colors, flavors, and traditional crafts. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere as you peruse stalls brimming with fresh fruits, vegetables, local delicacies, and exquisite handcrafted treasures. Indulge in a delectable lunch at a nearby restaurant before delving into the rich cultural heritage of the area with a visit to a local community workshop. Conclude your day by retiring to one of the charming haciendas for a restful overnight stay. (Includes Breakfast and Lunch)

Day 2: Rise and shine for an unforgettable exploration of Cotopaxi National Park, named after the towering Cotopaxi volcano, the highest active volcano globally, standing proudly at 5,897 meters (19,349 ft) above sea level. Embark on a scenic hike at El Salitre, where, weather permitting, you’ll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the majestic volcano and the surrounding landscape. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of Andean condors, raptors, Andean foxes, deer, and, if luck is on our side, perhaps even spectacle bears and wild Ecuadorian ponies roaming freely amidst the untamed wilderness. Recharge with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before bidding farewell to the natural splendor of Cotopaxi and returning to Quito in the afternoon. (Includes Lunch and Dinner)

We traveled to Quito in early 2024 and had the opportunity to delve deeply into the country's culture by visiting the museum. Later, at Casa Agave, we had a truly spectacular experience.
